The official pre-listening party for The Beginning Of Times will be at Green Room (Bar Bäkkäri) in Helsinki on Tuesday, May 24, starting at 9 pm. From midnight on, the album will be on sale at the club. The band will be present at the event. Welcome!

From November 2011 to January 2012, Amorphis will go on an extensive tour comprising 40 shows in 20 European countries. Prior to this, the band will play three shows in Russia in October.

“My Enemy”.

The previously uploaded single “You I Need” is already available from European iTunes stores.
The US release is scheduled for May 10.

The Beginning Of Times can now be pre-ordered from the Amorphis Webshop. Besides digipak, jewel case CD and double LP, the Webshop also offers a special package containing the digipak and an exclusive T-shirt (classic or girlie).

Both the digipak CD and the vinyl edition include the bonus track “Heart’s Song”. All items will be shipped upon the Finnish release date (May 25).

In the new trailer for The Beginning Of Times, Esa Holopainen talks about production and concept of the upcoming album and the band’s plans for the rest of the year. The video also includes excerpts from several new songs.

The digital single “You I Need” will be released in Finland on April 20 and in other countries on April 22.
The song will be premiered on the Amorphis Facebook page and various radio stations on Monday, April 11.

On Easter Sunday, April 24, Amorphis will participate in the charity gala Idols tekee hyvää and perform the new song for a large TV audience (MTV3, 19:15). The proceeds of the event, which brings the popular American format Idol gives back to Finland for the first time, will be directed to education projects for children and teenagers in poverty-stricken countries such as Haiti and Cambodia.

Amorphis will headline the new mini-festival Sotkamon syke in Sotkamo (FI) on August 6.
